About
The Astanga Yoga Shala in Stuart, FL has closed its doors in Stuart. We do thank all who were part of our incredible journey and am truly blessed for the opportunity I was given. I am on sabbatical from teaching.
The focus at the Shala is to find calmness and strength so we may live a peaceful, joyful and fulfilling life.
Our physical practice helps us navigate this journey using the Astanga Mysore style practice. As a teacher I guide each student through the asanas being mindful of their safety, breath, drishti, and the posture. As part of this practice, I discuss Ayurveda. Diet, life style, cleansing and detoxification are the keys to having a balanced focused life. We provide access to books on asana, Ayurveda, yogic philosophy, meditation and more. We offer workshops from Ashtanga teachers, Ayurvedic Practitioners, Sanskrit teachers and more. I teach and practice pranayama, meditation and chanting.
Danielle is grateful for the opportunities to study with many experienced and learned Astanga teachers over the last ten years both in the US and in India. A student is taught one asana (posture) at a time. Focus is on the breath, dristhi and bandhas, explained throughout your training and the learning continues throughout your life long practice.

Sessions & Schedule

Utilizing our breath, one opens the blockages that manifest in our bodies and our minds. With discipline, (tapas) and a willingness to listen to our bodies and our teachers, we can cure physical and mental diseases that may develop in this garment we use to traverse through life. This ancient Astanga yoga practice is truly an impactful asana therapy for a peaceful and joyous life.🙏
